I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) ... or 2.500km

Snow in Las Vegas and Los Angeles? That‘s really an unusual thing. Snow in the Blackforest in Germany? That‘s a very common thing and the reason I choose it as my #wheredidingresstakeyoutoday destination.

I didn’t hack and link a lot. My main mission as an Ingress agent was to finally get this #ingress trekker badge to black.



And my secondary goal was to take some cool pictures of portals (e.g. Germany‘s formerly highest chapel ), triangles as the blackforest cherry cake and other snowy stuff. Hacking some portals at the summit, skiing down and to hack some portals down there helped to get a good part of the final 50 km with the help of good ol‘ gravity.

So: mission accomplished.

These were awesome 2.500 km during the last 2,5 years. A lot of walking and hiking wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t had the motivation from unique visits, captures and some nice photos. Thank you +Ingress and Niantic .

Portal Background: Flak Rondorf

My faith in Wayfarer reviews got restored a little bit: My submission for a historical anti aircraft gunsite got accepted (Flak Stellung Rondorf, Intel-Link ). ⁣⁣A bunch of Wayfinder submissions for „Zwischenfeldbauten“ - remnants of the Prussian fortification ring around Cologne - were declined beforehand. I submitted them while I had a guided tour with @andreasroland_alten a from CRIFA ( Cologne Research - Institute of Fortification Architecture ). These sites are rather unknown to the public, hidden in the woods from any sat view and have no information signs set up. So I wasn’t really surprised when one after another site got declined. Not surprised, but still a little bit disappointed (more about this tour is covered in this German blogpost ).

Starburst Cologne 2018

This proposal resonated in many #Ingress communities. Wordwide over 100 green stars lit up our world (global sitrep: https://plus.google.com/+ClaudiJa/posts/E8DHtuHGpdj ) . In combination with the stardust of the meteor, which our planet was crossing, they produced an exceptionally enormous amount XM that surely helped mankind to evolve further to a higher level.
